</div><div>We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Staff to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autistic adults, in community-based and in-home settings. The ideal candidate will support individuals with daily activities, ensure their safety, and encourage independence while maintaining a respectful and nurturing environment. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse support needs. Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care is highly valued. All positions are paid and require a commitment to providing exceptional, person-centered support.<br><br>
</div><div>Responsibilities<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Encourage and support individuals in developing <strong>independence with daily routines and life skills</strong>
</li>
<li>Provide guidance and supervision during in-home and community-based activities</li>
<li>Observe and report changes in an individual’s behavior, progress, or overall well-being to appropriate team members</li>
<li>Promote community engagement, socialization, and participation in meaningful activities</li>
<li>Provide companionship and emotional support to build confidence and self-advocacy skills</li>
<li>Maintain a <strong>safe and supportive environment</strong> during all services</li>
<li>Assist individuals with mobility or transfers as needed using approved techniques or assistive devices</li>
<li>Accurately document services provided, progress, and observations in compliance with agency and program guidelines</li>
<li>
<strong>Transport individuals from their homes to community locations</strong> to support independence, appointments, and community involvement</li>
<li>Follow all agency protocols and provide individualized support tailored to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities</li>
</ul><div>Qualifications<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Prior experience supporting individuals with <strong>intellectual and developmental disabilities</strong>, including autism, preferred</li>
<li>Experience working with autistic adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations</li>
<li>Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care</li>
<li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team in community-based settings</li>
<li>Must have a <strong>reliable, insured personal vehicle</strong> suitable for transporting individuals</li>
<li>Must hold a <strong>valid driver’s license</strong> with a clean driving record</li>
<li>Ability to safely transport individuals to and from <strong>their homes and community locations</strong>
</li>
<li>Willingness to use personal vehicle for work-related travel in accordance with agency policies</li>
