Warehouse Manager
Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and seamless logistics coordination. This role oversees a team of supervisors and frontline staff, drives process improvements across receiving, storage, and shipping, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards.
This position plays a key role in optimizing productivity, controlling costs, and maintaining high service levels. The Warehouse Manager partners closely with leadership to align operations with business goals while delivering on customer expectations for quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and on-time execution
- Lead, develop, and supervise a team of supervisors, warehouse associates, forklift operators, and dispatchers
- Monitor performance through KPIs; provide coaching and implement improvements to drive productivity
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; promote a strong safety culture
- Manage warehouse budgets, control expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through effective systems, controls, and audits
- Resolve operational challenges, including shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, and staffing issues
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to meet operational and company objectives
- Ensure customer satisfaction by consistently meeting delivery timelines and quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of warehouse operations experience
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or business is an asset
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
Skills & Requirements
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in WMS platforms, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and inventory systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
