The T1/T2 – Database Infrastructure Support Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced Tier 1/2 support for the organization’s database environments which include SQL server, Oracle, Snowflake and AWS DB solutions like PostgresSQL. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of critical DB systems by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to minimize service interruptions and maintain high data availability and integrity. Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing enterprise DB servers, and related infrastructure, as well as implementing best practices. By maintaining and enhancing the DB landscape, the T1/T2 – Database Infrastructure Support Engineer plays an essential role in supporting business continuity and safeguarding organizational data assets.

Requirements
- 6 to 12 years of experience in database engineering or administration is necessary.
- 6 to 12 years of experience with modern db solutions like PostgreSQL, RDS, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake.
- 5+ years knowledge and experience in Database Performance, Tuning and Optimization (PTO) Excellent knowledge in system views and system stored procedures
- 5+ years hands on experience with database security, auditing, backup/restore, DR and high availability
- 5+ years’ experience with data partitioning, indexing best practices, resource governor, extended events. Experience with DTS and SSIS Packages.
- 5+ years knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Knowledge of Incident/Problem Management and is familiar with ITIL processes in a critical production environment.
- 5+ years of experience with ticketing systems: Familiarity with help desk or ticketing software such as ServiceNow or JIRA, for tracking and managing technical cases.
