ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Answers telephone professionally and relays messages to proper areas.
- Receives outpatients, ensures that all exams are entered for charge.
- Establishes and maintains department records
- Sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of patient and uses good communication skills.
- Maintains record of all incoming and outgoing patient records.
- Follows policies regarding consent for treatment and release of medical information regarding all age groups.
- Follows All HIPAA requirements.
- Demonstrates understanding of PACS, ability to burn CD’s and transfer images from PACS. Has ability to navigate the RIS to maintain patient information
- Develop and maintain good working relationships both intra and inter departmentally; to foster good customer relations while observing the TJ Regional mission statement.
- Demonstrates courtesy and proper etiquette to patients, families and staff members at all times. Be willing to assist fellow employees in other areas as needed. Be a productive staff member at all times
- Use A.D.I.E.T. principals.
- Assist the supervisors in day-to-day operation of the department with regard to balancing budgetary constraints, equipment and personnel needs, and quality improvement.
- Assist physicians in files and records as needed.
