Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the technical staff in lab-related duties
- Performs daily and periodic verifications of test equipment
- Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and minor repairs to instrumentation
- Performs routine housekeeping including cleaning of equipment and lab areas. Maintain, store and properly dispose of materials as needed
- Maintains the Calibration Database and schedules calibrations as required
- Assists in identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
- Initiates recommendations for new equipment.
- Demonstrates safe work practices in accordance with laboratory and company policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education
Associate in Chemistry or equivalent work experience
Work Experience
- 2 years’ related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP applications
- Associate degree in chemical/stem or equivalent education and/or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of test equipment
- Knowledge of proper laboratory techniques and protocols
