About Guardex
We are building an AI-driven visual intelligence platform for industrial environments. We work on large-scale, real-world systems where software, data pipelines, and physical infrastructure meet, deploying AI not in demos, but in production environments.
This role is for someone who wants to understand how real systems work beyond just writing code.
Role Overview
As a Systems & Infrastructure Intern, you’ll work closely with the core engineering team to support and maintain the data ingestion and system reliability layer of our platform.
You’ll help ensure that distributed systems, edge inputs, and data pipelines operate smoothly across deployments.
What You’ll Work On
- Supporting system-level integrations across edge and server environments
- Assisting with data ingestion pipelines for visual and sensor-based inputs
- Working with tools like FFmpeg / GStreamer for media handling
- Writing Python scripts for automation, diagnostics, and internal tooling
- Monitoring system health, stability, and performance
- Assisting in deployment setup and validation across different environments
- Debugging real-world issues where software meets hardware
- Collaborating with engineers during live deployments and pilots
This role involves hands-on problem solving, not isolated feature development.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong fundamentals in Python
- Comfort with Linux / command-line environments
- Understanding of how software systems interact with underlying hardware
- Interest in systems, infrastructure, and real-world engineering
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and think end-to-end
- Willingness to work on-site and engage with live deployments
Nice to Have
- Exposure to system programming, automation, or infrastructure tools
- Familiarity with media processing, data pipelines, or distributed systems
- Curiosity about how AI systems run in production environments
- Handson Edge device videos.
