Program Description: The contractor shall provide IT Infrastructure support services, which includes Tier 1 Help Desk, Tier 2 End User Support, Tier 3 Server, Platform, and Network Infrastructure Support and Engineering. Services shall include, but are not limited to, technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues; incident and problem resolution; service request management; infrastructure monitoring and support; hardware and software lifecycle support; and management of escalation across all tiers.
Position Description:
The Microsoft Administrator II or equivalent is responsible for managing and maintaining the agency’s Microsoft-based IT infrastructure. This role includes overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 (O365), SharePoint, Teams, and Azure. The administrator ensures the secure, stable, and efficient operation of these systems by performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting tasks. Key responsibilities include managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure system integrity and security. Microsoft Administrator II collaborates with cross functional IT teams to support various and OCIO specific projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise to ensure Microsoft technologies are effectively integrated into the agency's overall IT strategy.
Responsibilities:
Managing and maintaining Microsoft-based IT infrastructure, including
Windows Server, Windows 11, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune,
Exchange, and Office 365.
• Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of existing and
future migrations Microsoft technologies.
• Performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure
systems run smoothly and securely.
• Managing user roles, permissions, and access controls to maintain a secure
IT environment.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to support various projects and initiatives.
• Providing technical expertise and ensuring servers, endpoints, and
Microsoft services are effectively integrated into NCUA’s overall IT
strategy.
• Monitoring system performance and addressing any issues that arise.
• Implement and manage security policies to meet NCUA baselines,
executive directives, and security requirements.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for system configurations and
procedures.
• Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
• Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory
requirements.
• Managing software deployment and updates through tools like SCCM and
Intune.
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems for proactive and
reactive support.
• Participating in on-call schedules and patch rotations to ensure continuous
system availability.
• Maintaining M365 Conditional Access Policies.
