About Riforma
Riforma is a fast-growing, remote-first company building systems to power a global academic advisory business across the UAE, Europe, and international markets.
We operate more like a lean, systems-driven startup than a traditional education company. Automation, data, and internal tooling are central to how we scale—from student onboarding and scheduling to tutor allocation, payments, and performance tracking.
This role is not about maintaining legacy systems. It’s about building the operational backbone of the company from scratch and scaling it.
About the Role
⚠️ This is a remote contractor role (not UAE employment).
No visa sponsorship is provided. This role is best suited for candidates working remotely outside the UAE or freelancers/contractors not requiring employer sponsorship.
We’re hiring a Systems & Automation Engineer to design and build internal systems that drive operational efficiency across the business.
You will work directly with the founders and have full ownership over building workflows, dashboards, and integrations that are used daily by the team.
This is a full-time remote role with high ownership and flexibility, suited for someone who prefers high ownership, fast execution, and real impact over rigid corporate structures.
Role Description
This is a remote, contract-based full-time role for a Systems & Automation Engineer.
You will design, build, and maintain internal systems that power operations across sales, tutoring, scheduling, and reporting.
This role focuses on:
- Automating workflows across tools (Wix, APIs, Sheets, Airtable)
- Building dashboards and internal tools
- Connecting systems using APIs and automation platforms
- Improving operational efficiency through scalable systems
Qualifications/Core Requirements
- Strong experience with APIs and system integrations
- Experience with Wix (Velo) OR similar backend/frontend logic
- Experience with automation tools (Zapier / Make / custom scripts)
- Strong understanding of data flow and system design
- Ability to build end-to-end workflows (not just code snippets)
- Strong problem-solving ability and ownership mindset
Optional Requirements
- Experience building dashboards or internal tools
- Experience working in startups or lean teams
- Exposure to CRM systems and operational workflows
- Basic frontend capability (for dashboards/interfaces)
What This Role offers
- Direct exposure to building systems that power a real business
- High ownership and autonomy (you will build, not just assist)
- Fast execution environment (no bureaucracy)
- Opportunity to scale systems across international markets
- Close collaboration with founders
Important
What This Role offers
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Enjoys solving messy, real-world operational problems
- Can work across tools and systems, not just one tech stack
- Takes ownership without constant supervision
This role is not a fit for:
- Candidates looking for narrowly defined developer roles
- Candidates expecting highly structured corporate environments
Open globally (Asia/EU time zones preferred)
Application Process
To apply, please include:
- Examples of systems/automations you’ve built
- Tools used and your role in building them
- (Optional) Links, demos, or case studies
Shortlisted candidates will be given a practical task before interviews.
If you enjoy building systems that actually get used daily and want to see your work directly impact operations, this role is for you.
