About Us
Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don’t just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you’ll be fuelling the future of space exploration.
Role Overview:
Azista Space seeks a visionary Systems Architect with proven spacecraft systems design leadership to spearhead our cutting-edge satellite programs. Drive technical strategy from CONOPS to in-orbit ops, leading multidisciplinary teams in architecting robust, scalable systems. Collaborate with subsystem leads (power, propulsion, avionics, C&DH), PMs, and partners to optimize trade-offs, ensuring mission success under tight mass/power/data constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Architect end-to-end spacecraft systems; define requirements baselines, perform trade studies, and optimize budgets using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML).
- Design & Integration: Oversee ICDs, CONOPS, V&V plans; lead subsystem integration (EPS, RF comms, ADCS) with COTS/RTG hybrid architectures.
- Testing & Verification: Champion AIT/HIL/SIL campaigns, environmental quals (vibe/thermal/vac), and LEOP commissioning per ECSS/ISO standards.
- Risk & Reliability: Conduct FMECA/FMEA, FDIR strategies, and anomaly resolution for 99.9% on-orbit reliability.
- Documentation & Stakeholder Mgmt: Author compliance matrices, design reports; brief executives, customers (DoD/ISRO), and IR&D proposals.
- Team Leadership: Mentor 10+ engineers, drive bid wins, and foster agile cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of satellite systems engineering experience with managerial responsibility in flight heritage programs.
- Proven expertise in spacecraft design, integration, and subsystem management (Bus/Payload/C&DH).
- Proficiency in system modelling (MBSE/SysML), simulation (STK/MATLAB), and requirements/configuration management (DOORS/Jama).
- Ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing customer requirements in fast-paced NewSpace environments.
- Strong understanding of FMECA/FMEA, FDIR principles, environmental tests, and AIT processes (HIL/SIL/ECSS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
