We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to manage and maintain our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud environments, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of cloud services. This role is critical to our IT operations and involves working closely with other IT professionals & vendors to support the organizations technology needs and provide excellent front-line assistance to our team members.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure.
- Provide hands-on technical support and insightful advice to users.
- Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, and provide step-by-step guidance.
- Assist with hardware setup, software installations, configurations, and upgrades/updates.
- Provide written documentation, updates, and root cause analysis on IT issues to management as required.
- Create knowledge-based articles for newly discovered issues.
- Establish and maintain service level relationships with local and off-site technology service providers.
- Manage client expectations to enhance the overall technology experience.
- Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance.
Key Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS; knowledge of cloud architecture and services.
- Proficiency in Windows (Operating Systems) environments; knowledge of network protocols and services.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Precision in managing system configurations and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other IT professionals.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cloud (Azure and/or AWS). Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) a plus.
