System Architect – Multiphase Buck Controllers
Location: Bangalore
The System Architect – Multiphase Buck Controllers will define the next generation of digital and analog multiphase controller architectures for high-performance AI, Cloud, Data Center, Networking, and Enterprise Computing applications.
This is a highly technical individual contributor role responsible for translating future customer and market requirements into innovative controller architectures that enable industry-leading efficiency, transient response, scalability, telemetry, and reliability.
The architect will work closely with Product Management, Silicon Design, Firmware, Smart Power Stage architects, System Applications Engineering, and strategic customers to develop industry-leading power management solutions supporting AI accelerators, CPUs, GPUs, ASICs, and next-generation compute platforms.
Scope of Responsibility
Own the architecture and technical definition of:
- Multiphase Buck Controllers
- Digital Voltage Regulators (VR)
- CPU/GPU Core Power Controllers
- AI Accelerator Power Controllers
- Smart Power Stage Control Architecture
- Digital Power Management Platforms
- Telemetry and Power Monitoring
- PMBus / AVSBus / SVID Interfaces
Target applications include:
- AI Servers
- GPU Platforms
- Cloud Infrastructure
- High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Networking Equipment

Key Responsibilities
System Architecture
Define complete controller architecture including:
- Control topology
- Current balancing architecture
- Voltage regulation
- Adaptive control algorithms
- Fault protection
- Telemetry architecture
- Scalability to high phase counts
- System optimization
Drive architecture from concept through silicon implementation.
Product Definition
Develop technical requirements including:
- Product Requirements Specification (PRS)
- Functional Specification
- System Architecture Document
- Feature Definition
- Performance Targets
- Design Trade-off Analysis
Work with Product Management to convert customer needs into executable product specifications.
Customer Requirement Analysis
Work directly with strategic customers to understand future platform requirements.
Support architecture definition for:
- AI GPU platforms
- CPU VR solutions
- Accelerator power delivery
- High-current AI infrastructure
- Future rack power architectures
Translate customer challenges into differentiated product features.
Technology Roadmap
Develop the 3–5 year technology roadmap covering:
- Analog control
- Digital control
- Hybrid architectures
- AI-assisted power management
- High-speed telemetry
- Advanced transient response
- Efficiency optimization
- Intelligent diagnostics
Benchmark industry leaders and identify opportunities for technical differentiation.
Cross-Functional Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership across:
- Product Management
- Silicon Design
- Firmware Development
- Smart Power Stage Architecture

- Product Marketing
Act as the technical authority throughout the product development lifecycle.
Control Algorithm Development
Define advanced control methodologies including:

- Fast transient response optimization
- Load-line implementation
- Current balancing
- Phase shedding

System Performance Optimization
Define system targets for:
- Efficiency

- Start-up sequencing

Collaborate with Smart Power Stage architects to optimize overall power conversion efficiency.

- Telemetry protocols

Represent LTSCT as the technical expert for multiphase controller solutions.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of semiconductor or power electronics experience.
- Proven experience architecting multiphase buck controllers or digital voltage regulators.
- Experience developing products from concept through production.
- Strong customer-facing technical experience.
- Experience working with hyperscale, server, networking, or AI computing platforms is highly desirable.
