About The Role
The System Testing Analyst at Commscope plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. This position involves analyzing requirements, developing and executing manual test scripts, and automating regression tests to verify that business and technical specifications are met. The analyst will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional analysts, and technology teams to define the overall test strategy and oversee the testing lifecycle from planning to execution. A strong understanding of SAP FICO, SD, SCM business processes, and automation tools is essential for success in this role. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining regression and smoke test suites, executing tests within specified timelines, and ensuring high product quality to achieve client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software testing, preferably within SAP environments such as SAP FICO, SD, and SCM.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools like DevOps, Tosca, JIRA, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including black box and white box techniques.
- Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Familiarity with automation tools, particularly Tosca, and executing automation regression suites.
- Understanding of requirement traceability, defect lifecycle management, and testing metrics.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze application requirements and develop comprehensive manual and automated test scripts.
- Execute various testing levels including smoke testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Maintain and update regression and smoke test suites, executing them according to testing schedules.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to develop and refine the overall test strategy.
- Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test data, ensuring complete test coverage.
- Utilize test management tools like DevOps, Tosca, and JIRA to track testing progress and defects.
- Identify, log, and verify defects, managing their lifecycle from detection to resolution.
- Generate testing metrics and reports to provide visibility into testing progress and quality status.
- Automate regression testing using Tosca, executing automation scripts periodically, and troubleshooting errors as needed.
- Coordinate with functional teams to update test scripts for new functionalities and enhancements.
- Manage automation and testing tools configuration, supporting continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Participate in project requirement reviews and status meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards, policies, and procedures, creating supporting documentation as required.
- Demonstrate strong business understanding, offering test solutions tailored to various business scenarios.
- Handle multiple high-pressure situations effectively, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork across diverse departments, including sales, operations, HR, and finance.
