Role Description This is a full-time, on-site System Administrator role based in Mumbai. The System Administrator will manage, maintain, and monitor servers, desktops, and core IT infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operations for business-critical applications. Responsibilities include installing and configuring operating systems and software, managing user accounts and permissions, performing regular backups, and applying patches and updates. The role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, providing technical support to internal teams, and escalating complex incidents when necessary. The System Administrator will also assist with network administration tasks, maintain documentation, support IT security policies, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve system performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong System Administration skills, including operating system management, user account administration, and server maintenance.
- Experience in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for hardware, software, and application issues in a business environment.
- Knowledge of Network Administration, including basic routing, switching, firewalls, and network monitoring.
- Solid foundation in Information Technology concepts, infrastructure management, and IT security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, and backup/restore tools.
- Ability to document systems and procedures clearly and to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, or similar) are an advantage.
