We are looking for a skilled System Administrator (L2) to manage and support production infrastructure for our Mumbai operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for production and staging environments.
- Manage and maintain Linux-based servers (installation, configuration, patching, monitoring).
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot NGINX web servers and reverse proxy setups.
- Support and monitor Java-based applications in production environments.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot performance issues, application crashes, and server downtime.
- Handle incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution within SLA timelines.
- Manage user access, system security, and server hardening practices.
- Work closely with DevOps and development teams for deployments and releases.
- Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and uptime management.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure and support processes.
Required skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience as a System Administrator or L2 Support Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) administration.
- Practical experience in configuring and managing NGINX (load balancing, reverse proxy, SSL setup).
- Experience supporting Java applications (Tomcat, JVM tuning, log analysis).
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewall basics).
- Experience in log monitoring tools and troubleshooting production issues.
- Knowledge of shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 support environment (if required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of Docker or containerization is a plus.
- ITIL certification is an added advantage.
