About the Role
Azista Industries Private Limited is looking for a highly motivated System Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise server environments, ensuring high system availability, strengthening infrastructure security, and supporting business-critical IT operations.
You will work with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, Microsoft 365, backup solutions, and network infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure IT services. Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance.
- Perform basic Linux administration activities, including user management, file permissions, package installation, and service management.
- Administer Active Directory by managing user accounts, security groups, organizational units, and Group Policies.
- Monitor server performance and proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
- Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity and data protection.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, including virtual machine provisioning and maintenance.
- Plan and implement operating system updates, security patches, and infrastructure upgrades while maintaining system stability.
- Troubleshoot server, hardware, software, storage, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Configure and maintain core network services, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing.
- Support firewall administration and implement security best practices using FortiGate or equivalent firewall solutions.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange services while ensuring reliable email and collaboration platform availability.
- Provide technical support to end users by resolving infrastructure and system-related incidents within agreed service levels.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in infrastructure enhancement projects, server migrations, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT security standards, policies, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- Candidates should have minimum of 2 years hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments in an enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, including user administration, Group Policy management, DNS, and DHCP, is essential.
- Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V is required.
- Applicants should possess a basic understanding of Linux administration, including user management, file permissions, package management, and service administration.
- A solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, and DHCP, is expected.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions, disaster recovery processes, and infrastructure monitoring tools will be highly valued.
- Candidates should have practical knowledge of firewall administration and IT security best practices, preferably with FortiGate or similar enterprise firewall solutions.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Exchange environments is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for effectively resolving infrastructure and system-related issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain accurate technical documentation is essential for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), RHCSA, Fortinet NSE, or ITIL Foundation will be considered an advantage.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure or hybrid cloud environments will be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation, PowerShell scripting, and enterprise cybersecurity best practices will be considered a plus.
- Previous experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial organizations will be an added advantage.
