System Administrator – Microsoft 365 & Security
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and securing enterprise IT infrastructure, administering Microsoft cloud environments, and implementing security best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
· Manage and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and IT infrastructure.
· Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
· Perform user account management, password resets, access provisioning, and permission management.
· Monitor server health, system performance, storage, and network connectivity.
· Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, printers, and business applications.
· Perform system patching, updates, and regular maintenance activities.
· Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations.
· Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, application, and network-related issues.
· Maintain IT asset inventory and technical documentation.
· Provide technical support to end users and assist with IT service requests.
Microsoft 365 Administration
· Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
· Manage user accounts, licensing, mail flow, distribution groups, and collaboration tools.
· Configure and maintain Conditional Access, MFA, Intune, and compliance policies.
· Monitor Microsoft 365 service health and security alerts.
Security Administration
· Implement and manage security solutions including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).
· Configure and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, and email security controls.
· Monitor security incidents, investigate alerts, and support incident response activities.
· Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management, and endpoint security administration.
· Support compliance, audit, and cybersecurity governance requirements.
Azure & Infrastructure Management
· Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Networking, Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
· Configure and maintain VPN, firewall, and secure remote access solutions.
· Monitor system performance, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
System Monitoring & Support
· Monitor servers, applications, backups, and infrastructure services.
· Troubleshoot system, application, email, and security-related issues.
· Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
· Provide technical support and guidance to internal users and IT teams.
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security.
· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MIP.
· Experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint security, and identity management.
· Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, networking, and virtualization.
· Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
· 5 to 6 years of relevant experience
· Microsoft certifications such as:
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
o Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
o Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate
· Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
· Experience supporting SOC audits and compliance initiatives.
Education
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field from a recognized university or institution in India or equivalent.
