About Position
We are seeking a Senior System Administrator with strong expertise in managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments. The role focuses on ensuring system stability, performance, and operational excellence through proactive monitoring, automation, and advanced troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and AWS, along with the ability to manage complex incidents, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers in a 24/7 support environment.

What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day administration and support of cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments
- Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
- Monitor infrastructure health using tools and dashboards, and proactively prevent incidents
- Handle L2/L3 incidents within SLA and lead resolution for high-severity issues
- Participate in major incident calls, ensuring effective communication and RCA documentation
- Provide advanced support across OS, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms
- Perform network troubleshooting involving DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers
- Support AWS cloud operations including provisioning, monitoring, and issue resolution
- Manage incidents, changes, and problems using ITSM tools aligned with ITIL processes
- Plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime
- Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and availability reporting
- Drive automation and process improvements using scripting tools
- Maintain updated documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and configurations
- Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and application teams
- Mentor junior engineers and support team skill development
Expertise You'll Bring
- 5–10 years of experience in system administration across Windows and Linux environments
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud operations
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance management
- Knowledge of ITSM tools and ITIL-based processes (incident, problem, change management)
- Experience in automation and scripting using Shell, PowerShell, or Python
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in 24×7 production support environments
- Ability to create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and handle complex technical challenges
