About the role

We're looking for a Business Development Associate to join our early team to manage our Sales Development process. As our first sales hire, you'll play a critical role in shaping our sales strategy and the entire GTM organization. You'll work directly with the founders to identify, engage, and qualify sales opportunities from independent financial advisors (RIAs). What You'll Do * Research and identify financial advisors and firms that are a strong fit for SyntheticFi's offering * Write and send personalized outbound messages across email, LinkedIn, and cold calls to generate interest * Track conversations, feedback, and objections to help refine messaging and outbound strategy. * Maintain clean records in our CRM (HubSpot) to ensure full pipeline visibility. * Help shape the sales playbook as an early team member, and assist the founders with other client-facing tasks. Qualifications * 1-3 years of experience in a sales role (fintech, financial services, wealth management is a plus) * Energized by outbound sales (think cold calls) and don't mind rejection * Organized and self-directed, and a goal-oriented mindset * A genuine interest in fintech, capital markets, or wealth management, and a willingness to learn about new concepts * Are based in the U.S., with preference for Eastern or Central Time Zones We Prefer You Have * Prior experience selling to independent financial advisors (RIAs; e.g. at an asset management firm, a fund, or an advisor-tech company); * Prior experience working at startups, or building businesses; * Commitment to stay at the company for at least 2 years; * A degree in finance; or familiarity with financial markets, especially the options market and capital markets; * Prior experience with HubSpot; * Located in US Eastern / Central Time Zones. What We Offer * Competitive base salary + commission + equity grant. Structure negotiable. * Upward mobility; we expect to expand the team in 3-6 months. You will be first-in-line to be considered for an Account Executive and Sales Manager roles. * Close mentorship and direct access to the founders. * US Work authorization.
