About the role

Job Description As an R&D Engineer at Synopsys, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing complex software components and systems that are critical to our business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovations, optimize system performance, and deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and maintainable software components and systems using C++, GNU Makefile, and other relevant technologies. - Analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. - Contribute to the development of new features, enhancements, and improvements to existing products. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and integration activities to ensure the quality and reliability of the software. - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to your work. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and customer support, to understand and address customer requirements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in C++ and GNU Makefile. - Proficient in designing and implementing efficient, scalable, and maintainable software systems. - Hands-on experience in software debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis. - Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and best practices. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
