About the role

Synonym’s Head of Digital Product will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategy for our suite of digital products. The focus will be on delivering best-in-class B2B tools and platforms that meet the evolving needs of our customers and internal engineers. You will work at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience to deliver products that accelerate the bioeconomy, enhance customer value, drive internal efficiency, and contribute to business growth. Synonym’s Head of Digital Product will initially report to the Chief Investment Officer and closely work with other members of the senior management team on broader strategic matters. Outcomes and Mandate Develop and execute product strategy aligned with Synonym’s goals, focusing on identifying market opportunities and taking products from 0 to 1. Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, driving development of products in collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless business integration. Work closely with sales to develop monetization and pricing strategies that align with market demand and company goals. Analyze key performance indicators and leverage data to improve product performance, enhance user experience, and address both internal and external needs. Conduct market research and gather feedback to stay ahead of industry trends and ensure products meet customer and internal efficiency needs. Design cohesive customer journeys across all products for a consistent and user-friendly experience. Manage external resources and occasionally dive into the code, while leading a small, scrappy team to ensure successful execution. Manage data harmonization across platforms to optimize internal processes and enhance product value. Competencies 7+ years in product management with a proven track record of launching and managing digital products across the product lifecycle. B2B Product Expertise: Experience building and scaling B2B products, ideally in industries such as biotech, industrial construction, or real estate development. Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and product management best practices. Outsourced Team Management: Experience working with outsourced developers, designers, and external resources to ensure high-quality product delivery. Hands-on Attitude: Willingness to dive into the details, including code or design, to ensure successful product execution. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Analytical Mindset: Data-driven decision-making with the ability to track and improve key product metrics. Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
