Sales Team

We are looking to hire exceptional and experienced Sales Directors from a CRO background and have a track record of achieving and exceeding their sales targets.

 

Role overview

As Director, Sales for the West Coast of the United States, you will be fully accountable for achieving Sales targets for your Territory (WA, OR, CA, AZ, NV, CO, UT).

 

You will meet and exceed your targets by leveraging your previous experience in this industry and your skills in building strong relationships, coordinating with the India-based scientific/technical / proposal response teams, and your creativity in closing business opportunities.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Achieve targets for Business Closure and Sales by

 

  • Accountability and oversight for your territory, developing strategies and priorities to optimize all opportunities to meet targets.
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with our customers, by fully understanding their needs and ways of working and tailoring approaches accordingly
  • Building robust customer insight and staying abreast of industry shifts to help the company define new service offerings based on future demand
  • Work collaboratively with Divisional, Operating Units and services teams based in India and with other Sales Directors
  • Updating the Salesforce platform and providing reports as required to the Head of Sales, Discovery.
  • High quality and timely submission of all RFx’s per protocols
  • Negotiate contracts with customers
  • Specific Requirements
    • Target will include selling discovery functional services (chemistry, Biology, DMPK, Toxicology, and computational & data sciences (70%) in the assigned territory
    • Develop a strategy to sell Synvent, Syngene’s integrated discovery service platform (30%)

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • An MBA or PhD in a relevant scientific field is desirable.

 

 

Essential Experiences

 

  • Minimum 10 years sales experience in a CRO / and or CDMO
  • Demonstrable experience and track record relating to delivering and exceeding sales targets consistently over a sustained period
  • Demonstrable experience of successful customer relationships and sales successes in teams in a CRO/CDMO
  • Has managed annual sales targets of a minimum of $10m

 

 

Desirable Experiences

  • Experience of working within a matrix organization and across geographies and cultures. Where delivery services are in a different country and time zone.
  • Experience of working with/for an Indian based company.
  • Engaging customers in a Consultative sales model
  • Experience in selling in the Integrated Drug Discovery model
