Organizational Overview: This role falls under Marketing Technology team within Engineering. We operate at the intersection of marketing technology and engineering, leveraging a variety of SaaS solutions across the value chain to drive enhanced customer engagement, acquisition, and retention. Role Summary/Purpose: With ever evolving financial landscape there are wide range of challenges that demand innovative solutions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing and managing highly available and scalable integrations across marketing and various other platforms. Along with development and implementation, the role will be responsible for discovery, exploration and quick learning about SaaS platforms and solutions. Key Responsibilities: Solution and build applications across the full stack, experience in PCF, Cloud Native Application Architecture, Microservices ecosystem, Spring Java, and RESTful API's are a must Influence agile development teams through all phases of the Agile development life cycle. Implement new technologies and assist developers as they migrate to new technologies. Drive a CI/CD strategy using our Jenkins, Bitbucket, and uDeploy stack. Ensure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by Synchrony. Assist in crafting and maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy, along with our application modernization and migration roadmap. Participate in Agile scrums consisting of cross-functional teams. Ensure application code quality through development, test, and QA. Be a SME – Participate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolution. Ability to analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixes . Act as an escalation support point as required. Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance. Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company's products . Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Required Skills/Knowledge: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of system engineering experience OR in lieu of a degree, 10 years of skilled system engineering experience. Minimum 5 years of application development experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in designing scalable applications. Hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, & Caching. Hands on experience in working with relational databases. Hands on experience in designing scalable applications. Working experience with Customer Data Platforms. Working experience with any Multichannel marketing tools. Desired Skills/Knowledge: Strong PC skills, Excel, Access, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint One Note. Experience with documentation and diagramming tools like Word/Visio/Whimsical etc. Highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative. Passion for technology and self-driven. Expertise with continuous integration environments . Experience with writing unit, integration, and UI test cases. Strong experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry . Knowledge in using Splunk for production support. Experience with Database Architecture, Modeling, and familiarity with MySQL & SQL . Excellence in technical communication with technical and non-technical peers Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management, and external groups. Prior work experience in a Credit Card/Banking/Fin Tech company. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of system engineering experience OR in lieu of a degree, 10 years of skilled system engineering experience. WORK TIMINGS : 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST. (This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally).
