💡Shape the Future of Mental Health – with Cutting-Edge Tech & a Strong Team Culture

In Germany, the average wait time for therapy is 5 to 6 months - if patients even gain access to treatment at all. At Sympatient, we're changing that by building the world’s first Digital Mental Health Clinic, blending digital care with traditional therapy to create a seamless, accessible experience for patients. Our team is made up of optimistic doers and world-changers from diverse backgrounds and we’ve already launched two groundbreaking products:

  • Invirto® Therapy (https://invirto.de/): The world’s first fully digital, reimbursed anxiety therapy, bringing gold-standard treatment directly into patients’ homes
  • Beavivo Platform (https://beavivo.de/): A nationwide therapist network enabling treatment to begin within a week

Our Tech team plays a critical role in building the infrastructure that makes this possible - scalable, efficient and always evolving. Are you ready to join us?🚀

đź’» Your Mission as an Automation Engineer

You will be the driving force behind our automation infrastructure, ensuring our systems run smoothly, connect seamlessly and support our entire company’s operations. Please note: This is not a QA, industrial automation or electrical engineering role – the focus is entirely on software-based automation, system integration and internal tooling.

  • Own and optimize our automation infrastructure, becoming the go-to expert for all employees
  • Develop and maintain custom tooling, leveraging advanced programming skills to extend and enhance the system’s capabilities as needed
  • Ensure high data quality to support business analystics and enable data driven decisions in the company
  • Manage and optimize integrations with external tools such as payment systems, booking systems, finance systems and custom-built applications, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality
  • Proactively identify opportunities for automation and system improvements, using programming and debugging skills to implement new features and streamline workflows
  • Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues within automated processes, providing timely solutions and ensuring system stability and efficiency

❤️ Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Ownership & Mentorship: Shape processes, make key decisions and grow with the support of our experienced Tech team
  • Flexible & Remote-Friendly: Work from anywhere in the EU/EEA (or GDPR-compliant countries) or join us at our Hamburg office
  • Meaningful Impact: Help shape the future of mental health care and make a real difference
  • Great Culture & Team: Collaborate with passionate, skilled colleagues in a company that values feedback, learning and openness
  • Innovative & Agile: Work with cutting-edge technology in a transparent, performance-driven environment where your ideas and curiosity are encouraged

đź’° What We Offer

  • Salary: Starting at 57.000,00 EUR gross annually, based on your experience assessed together in the application process
  • Ownership Program: Participate in our Employee Stock Option Plan (VSOP) - because your success is our success!
  • 30 Days of Vacation: Plus the choice between an Urban Sports Club membership or a Givve-Card (50 EUR/month)
  • Pension Plan Contribution: We cover 25% of your company pension plan
  • Learning & Development: An annual training budget of 500 EUR to support your growth

Please note that salaries are based on German compensation levels and may be subject to further evaluation depending on your place of residence. The benefits and pension plan contribution are available only to employees residing in Germany.

🔎 What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience with CRM platforms, particularly Zoho, including customization and managing complex workflows
  • Proficiency in languages like JavaScript, Python, or Deluge for writing custom functions and extending system capabilities
  • Proven ability to integrate external systems (e.g., Stripe, booking platforms, payment systems) with CRMs or other tools
  • Proven ability to manage self-hosted tooling such as n8n, Argo or Dapr Workflows
  • A knack for identifying repetitive tasks and implementing automation to streamline processes
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities to quickly resolve technical issues and ensure system stability
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with non-technical staff, acting as the go-to expert for system-related questions
  • Process-oriented thinking with proficiency in BPMN, EPK or a similar modeling language for processes
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in German is a plus

Not sure if you meet all the requirements? Apply anyway! We value learning, growth and a great attitude above all. We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. We do not tolerate and actively counter discrimination against any employee or job applicant because of ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, sex, physical or disability or age.
