Job Summary
Mentor 2 is expected to support appropriate social interactions and intervene prior to escalations in behaviors, mentor students in positive behaviors and executive functioning, and provide academic support at the direction of the classroom teacher. The Mentor 2 is responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students across all settings in the school environment. This position supports students with classroom interventions, targeted support, and work completion as assigned by the classroom teacher.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicates effectively with students, families, staff, and external partners
Supervises groups of students ensuring adherence to rules and expectations
Implements intervention strategies with fidelity
Promptly reports safety/behavioral concerns
Actively pursues continuing education, training, and certifications to maintain currency in related practices.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures
Performs any and all other duties as assigned.

Continued employment is contingent upon maintenance of clearances and certifications applicable to this position and satisfactory performance reviews.
