Position Summary
The Dayton Hiring Manager is responsible for overseeing the full hiring life cycle and employee compliance for assigned facilities in the Dayton area. This role plays a key part in staffing, onboarding, payroll accuracy, safety compliance, and supporting successful swim lesson programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, professional, and comfortable managing both administrative tasks and employee-facing responsibilities.
This role works in tandem with the Dayton Regional team and the SwimSafe HR and Safety team.
Key Responsibilities
Hiring and Staffing

Manage the hiring process for lifeguards and pool attendants from application to onboarding.

Track and manage applications in Payroll Partners.

Monitor and track staffing numbers for each assigned facility to ensure adequate coverage.

Conduct interviews for lifeguards and pool attendants.

Complete the full onboarding process, ensuring all required paperwork is submitted, accurate, and complete.

Ensure I-9 verification is completed correctly and on time in compliance with federal requirements.
Employee Timekeeping & Payroll Management
- Ensure all employees are set up correctly in Payroll Partners to be scheduled and to clock in and out.
- Troubleshoot timekeeping issues and work with employees and supervisors to resolve errors.
- Monitor employee punches and total hours worked.
- Ensure compliance with minor labor laws, including hour restrictions and scheduling limitations.
- Confirm employees are working within their contracted schedules and report discrepancies as needed.
Safety and Compliance

Add all newly hired lifeguards to the SGE portal.

Track lifeguard certifications to ensure only currently certified lifeguards are scheduled.

Schedule, lead, and document in-service training as required.

Conduct on-site visits to ensure safety standards, policies, and procedures are being followed.
Swim Lessons

The Dayton Hiring Manager is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
