Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for a Swimming Coach and Football Coach at NIHOC - The International School. The coach will plan and conduct regular training sessions, focusing on skill development, physical fitness, and game strategies appropriate to students’ age and ability levels. Daily responsibilities include designing practice plans, demonstrating techniques, supervising drills, and providing constructive feedback to support individual and team improvement. The coach will ensure a safe sports environment by enforcing rules, monitoring equipment, and following all safety and emergency procedures, especially during pool and field activities. The role also involves organizing and preparing students for inter-school competitions, maintaining performance records, coordinating with academic staff, and communicating with parents or guardians as needed about student progress and conduct. The coach is expected to model sportsmanship, discipline, and respect while fostering an inclusive and motivating training atmosphere.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong aquatics skills, including Swimming and Aquatics fundamentals suitable for school-age learners.
Candidates should possess skills in Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons, with the ability to design structured, level-appropriate training plans.
Candidates should possess Lifeguarding or equivalent water safety skills, with up-to-date knowledge of rescue techniques and emergency response procedures.
Recognized coaching certifications in swimming and/or football from a reputable sports body or federation are highly desirable.
Prior experience coaching children or adolescents in a school, academy, or club setting is preferred.
Strong classroom and field management skills, with the ability to maintain discipline while encouraging participation and enjoyment.
Ability to communicate clearly in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
Commitment to child safeguarding, inclusive practices, and collaboration with teachers and school leadership.
Basic first-aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hiring.
