Java Backend

As a Java Backend Engineer at Swiggy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that power our market-leading food delivery platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that enhance the user experience and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services using Java and related technologies - Design and implement efficient data models and APIs to support various features and services - Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment - Optimize system performance, reliability, and security - Contribute to the development of best practices, tools, and frameworks to improve engineering productivity - Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills Requirements: - Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and related ecosystem - Experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems - Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases - Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns - Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps practices - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication and collaboration abilities - Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
