Team Lead

TEAM LEADS (m/w/d) in Leipzig Operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees, who are handling light goods in a modern warehouse environment at Swappie’s Operations site in the Wahren area of Leipzig, Germany.

Your daily tasks will include leading the team, supervising, onboarding and coordinating your team’s work while ensuring output quality, productivity, and adherence to shared standards, processes, and team culture. You will be responsible for developing your team members’ skills and ways of working.

You will be doing work which is essentially important for the company and our European customers, great for the environment and surrounded by a supportive and positive team.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

• Conducting monthly performance evaluations and providing feedback to team members.
• Setting and monitoring shift and team targets, prioritising tasks, and allocating employees efficiently to avoid bottlenecks.
• Ensuring proper adherence to working and break times.
• Addressing team members' feedback, resolving issues, and managing conflicts effectively.
• Collaborating with the planning team to execute and oversee planning tasks.
• Ensuring continuous workflow by addressing bottlenecks and optimising processes.
• Leading onboarding and ongoing development of new joiners.
• Reporting operational outcomes and key results to management.
• Identifying training needs and delivering coaching or relevant training.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Supporting preparation for peak season and compliance audits (e.g. 6S).

WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU

• Showcase previous experience in leading people.
• Work experience in a warehouse environment is seen as a plus.
• Project management or CIP experience is seen as an advantage.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
• Have very good verbal and written communications skills in English.
• German skills are seen as an advantage.
• Demonstrate good skills working with IT-application (Google-Set-up/ Microsoft).
• Are flexible, organised and communicate effectively.
• Have highly developed ability to solve problems.
• Pay strong attention to details, accuracy and safety.
• Have the ability to see a bigger picture & motivate team members to reach targets and take ownership.
