Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate Swagelok’s strategic plan and the DSS annual plans to assigned SSC’s.
- Develop detailed understanding of the SSC business, needs, opportunities and risks.
- Coordinate and align market managers, product managers, field engineering and other corporate resources in order to provide support and align with the SSC business and sales opportunities.
- Synthesize and communicate market, product and competitor intelligence information for use by the SSC and Corporate functional departments.
- Provide feedback to Swagelok corporate on SSC needs, and how those needs can be better supported.
- Coach and advise on preparation and the execution of Distributor annual plan.
- Assist SSC’s in understanding Swagelok’s approach to customer segmentation.
- Assist distributors with end customer related issues including corporate presence at customer sales visits, end customer relationships, order/quotation expedites, service/supply chain and business system issues.
- In collaboration with Swagelok’s Alliance group assist in the negotiation and management of Alliance and Key Customer accounts including local Agreements.
- Assist the SSC in interpreting and complying with Swagelok policies.
- Monitor key metrics and results and assist SSC with action planning around optimizing successes and mitigating areas of underperformance.
- Manage distributor transitions and onboarding activities.
- Identify best SSC practices and seek opportunities to share best practices with the broader enterprise.
- Compile Trip reports and corporate CRM data to capture the important visit details and action items.
- Help to facilitate Distributor Collaborative Groups and encourage CCG participation.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to expand SSC capabilities and support SSC quality competencies.
- Facilitate the further development of solution selling capabilities.

Bachelor’s Degree is required
MBA preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of business management experience, preferably in a sales or industrial distribution organization. The ideal candidate has Swagelok distributor or relevant corporate experience.
Skills/Knowledge:
Applies experience and knowledge at an organization level. Demonstrates the ability to complete major and complex projects and to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Advanced problem solving and significant decision-making abilities. Strong project management/product development skills. Excellent oral and written communication. Excellent computer and typical office software skills.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Working conditions associated with normal office environment.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, printer, etc.).
- Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
- Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
- Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
