The Quality Improvement Leader (QIL) is a key change agent that drives quality improvements across the organization. A successful QIL will identify and drive a quality culture and quality improvements through auditing, managing quality projects, administering corrective actions and providing training on tools such as the DPS process. The goal of the QIL is to deliver on the brand promise of Zero Customer Disappointments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
|
|
|
- Method Ownership - For a given Quality Methodology, has a thorough knowledge of the company's current state and the industry best practices. Able to develop and communicate a future state and roadmap for a methodology. Also, required to request projects to drive us toward the future state according to the roadmap.
- Coordinate with other subject matter experts for a given Quality Methodology to monitor the current state and drive future improvements.
- Participate in the integration of our quality and business process management systems.
- Train and mentor associates in the application of the Swagelok Quality System and Continuous Improvement System.
- Promotes the utilization of and adherence to standard work, lean and variation reduction tools.
- Communicate effectively, at an organizational level, on various quality subjects including but not limited to quality methodologies and/or projects.
- Lead large breakthrough and/or medium size quality improvement projects according to the appropriate project management methodology.
- Participate in the assessment, prioritization, and selection of improvement projects.
- Create program / project contracts.
- Develop and deliver project deliverables, timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate corporate level phase reviews.
- Transition project and project value measurement to the line of business upon completion of projects.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
|
|
|
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years of experience in quality, engineering, or a technical field with a quality focus.
- Functional understanding of multiple business processes including Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering & Technology and Information Services.
- Organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Computer and office software skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years in a leadership position
- Advanced business or technical degree and formal training / certification in project management, quality management, or six-sigma.
