Title: Manager/ Senior Manager - Sustainability
Location: Mumbai| Function: Sustainability
Reports to: Head – Administration & Sustainability
Purpose: Reporting to Head – Administration & Sustainability, this position will be responsible for driving sustainability and environmental responsibility globally. The position has the responsibility to help Sony reach its Road to Zero targets and strengthen the environmental profile of its content productions and brands.
This position will be instrumental in advising business groups on sustainability-related opportunities, tracking environmental progress, and strategically engaging consumers on issues of sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across the business to engage customers and consumers on issues of sustainability.
- Utilize the communication, marketing and content creation strengths across SPN to help SPE reach 3 billion people (i.e. impressions) through strategies such as behavioral placement and cause marketing.
- Partner with the global sustainability team to develop an effective communications strategy and ‘theory of change’ that underpins Sony Groups’ SDG consumer engagement goal. (An effective strategy will benefit the business brands and IP, and achieve Sony’s sustainability targets.)
- Establish SPN as a leader and advocate that seeks continuously to improve sustainable production across the industry.
- Work with production and acquisition teams - and industry groups - to identify (or develop) a framework to further sustainable content creation in India.
- Models exist in North America and Europe. The sustainability team can facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Engage with industry stakeholders and experts to develop mutually-beneficial partnerships.
- Partner with SPN teams and partners in the value chain (supply chain and distribution) to identify and implement mutually beneficial projects that reduce the carbon footprint and deliver an ROI.
- If useful, the position has the opportunity to work across India’s Sony Group businesses to participate in and drive One Sony projects.

Education
- Candidates will have a bachelor’s degree.
- Business and/or environmentally-focused degree preferred.
Experience
- Preferred 5+ years of business-related experience, ideally with a combination of green operation practices and entertainment experience is ideal.
- Working knowledge of the entertainment industry including organizational structure, terminology, distribution, and marketing.
- Passion for sustainability is required. Direct experience with sustainability and behavioral change a plus.
- Familiarity with digital and social marketing a plus.
- Experience with the following:
- Project management
- Writing for corporate use
- Preparing written materials (presentation and reports) for executive review
- Writing short internal and external communication
- Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and basic understanding of Microsoft SharePoint
