Role Description
This is a full-time Sustainability and Environmental Health and Safety Leader position with a hybrid work model based in Chennai, India. The role involves developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing environmental health and safety (EHS) programs. Key responsibilities include assessing environmental impact, reducing waste, promoting energy efficiency, and embedding sustainability practices within the organization. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving employee engagement on sustainability and safety efforts.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, program implementation, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in sustainability practices, energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental impact assessments
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and developing actionable insights for sustainability initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams and adapt to a hybrid work environment
