Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sustainability Analyst Intern based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The intern will support the analysis of sustainability metrics, assist in the preparation of sustainability reports, and contribute to corporate sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities include data analysis, identifying sustainability trends, and effectively communicating findings to support organizational strategies and decision-making. The intern will work directly with stakeholders and project teams to assist in achieving sustainability goals.
The intern should be comfortable reading policy documents, sustainability frameworks, and translating them into usable systems. He/she will not be doing generic ESG content. The work will be on climate data models that enterprises will actually use.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities to evaluate and interpret sustainability information effectively
- Knowledge of Corporate Sustainability principles and experience with Sustainability Reporting
- Excellent Communication skills to present key findings and collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, showing initiative and resourcefulness
- Background in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field is highly valued
- Mapping Scope 1 - 3 categories across industries
- Supplier-level emissions data structuring
- Reviewing GHG Protocol, ISO, and reporting standards
- Building carbon accounting logic into product workflows
- Drafting analytical notes for enterprise clients
