Location: Chennai, India (Remote + Hybrid)
Summary
Our Client - Legal Benchmarking Group (LBG) is looking for a detail-driven and technically strong Survey Scripter to join our research & data team based in Chennai, India. This role will report into the Research Manager and work closely with global research teams.
This role is primarily focused on survey scripting and development, with supporting exposure to data validation and quality checks, ensuring smooth delivery of high-quality datasets for downstream analytics.

This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of office and remote working, as per business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate research questionnaires into fully functional online surveys using Qualtrics
- Act as a technical partner to research teams, advising on feasibility, logic, and best practices
- Script and build surveys, including: Complex logic and routing, Loops and randomisation, Quotas and multilingual setups, Customisations (e.g., buttons, layouts, styling using HTML/CSS)
- Conduct end-to-end testing, debugging, and optimisation of surveys before launch
- Manage and support survey fieldwork execution
- Perform data validation and sanity checks on survey outputs before sharing with analytics teams
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardisation in survey scripting processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in survey scripting, preferably on Qualtrics
- Experience with other survey platforms (e.g., Alchemer, Forsta/Confirmit, Decipher) can be considered
- Working knowledge of: HTML, CSS (for survey customisation), Survey logic (loops, piping, quotas, etc.)
- Basic understanding of data structures and dataset validation
- Familiarity with tools like Excel/SPSS for reviewing outputs
- Experience with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is an add-on.
Good to Have
- Exposure to automation tools or scripting languages (Python, R, SQL, VBA)
- Experience with dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Understanding of data workflows or ETL concepts

- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to debug and troubleshoot efficiently.
- Clear communication skills, especially when translating technical concepts for non-technical colleagues.
