Job Title: Surveillance Officer
Reports to: Administratively to Management / Functional oversight of HR Admin
Location: Regional Headquarters (Mumbai / Lab Locations)
Job Purpose
To design, implement, and oversee a world-class surveillance and loss prevention framework across IGIs grading laboratories and offices. The Head of Surveillance ensures that every movement of high-value inventory is monitored and that all grading processes adhere to the highest standards of security and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Required Skills
- Surveillance Strategy Infrastructure: * Design and manage the deployment of advanced CCTV, biometric access control, and motion detection systems across all lab facilities.
- Implement AI-driven behavioral analytics to identify "red flag" movements in grading zones.
- Operational Monitoring:
- Oversee 24/7 Command Center operations to monitor the handling of diamonds and gemstones.
- Audit "blind spots" and ensure 100% video coverage of the intake, grading, and return cycles.
- Loss Prevention Risk Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the inventory chain of custody.
- Lead investigations into any discrepancies, policy breaches, or security incidents.
- Process Integrity:
- Collaborate with Lab Directors to ensure surveillance protocols align with technical grading workflows.
- Monitor employee compliance with "Clean Desk" policies and high-security zone protocols.
- Reporting Compliance:
- Provide regular security audits and incident reports to the leadership team.
- Ensure all surveillance practices comply with local privacy laws and international security standards.
- 15+ years in Corporate Security, Surveillance, or Loss Prevention (Experience in High-Value Retail, Banking, or Gaming/Casinos is a plus).Ex Military, Armed force
- Deep knowledge of VMS (Video Management Systems), IP Camera technology, and integrated security platforms.
