POSITION SUMMARY

At Surf Air Mobility our people are our most important asset. We are looking for a recruiter to join our People Team and help us find the right people for the right roles. This role will support full-cycle recruitingment, including screening, interviewing, and hiring processes. The Recruiter is passionate about discovering untapped talent, driving company growth, and helping people develop successful careers. The recruiter will support a wide range of salaried and hourly roles within our many business units, ranging from aviation to corporate roles, customer service to technology roles. 


This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role where a strong sense of urgency is essential, requiring the ability to manage diverse job profiles and shifting priorities in a dynamic setting. At Surf Air Mobility, our employees are our greatest asset. We are seeking a highly motivated Recruiter to join our People team and drive our full-cycle recruitment efforts. This dynamic, fast-paced role requires a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage diverse job profiles and shifting priorities across our various business units, including aviation, corporate, customer service and technology roles.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about discovering untapped talent, contributing to company growth, and supporting successful career development. Responsibilities include managing the entire recruitment life cycle, including screening, interviewing, and hiring for a wide range of salaried and hourly roles.


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for a variety of roles, focusing on finding top talent.

  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers to understand company hiring needs, role requirements, and to develop effective recruiting strategies for meeting competitive goals. Present qualified candidates to Hiring Managers in a timely and consistent manner.

  • Offer insights on market trends, diversity strategies, and hiring best practices to Hiring Managers.

  • Proactively source and identify both active and passive candidates using a diverse range of tools, techniques, social media, job boards, and platforms to build a strong, diverse pipeline.

  • Screen and interview candidates (phone/video) to accurately assess technical and functional knowledge and skills.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with potential candidates to foster a quality talent pipeline for current and future roles, utilizing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

  • Ensure all pre-employment activities are completed successfully and in a timely manner, including timely follow-up with candidates and closing out applications in Workday.

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first contact to job offer, ensuring every interaction reflects company values.

  • Maintain a positive candidate experience by communicating proactively and providing feedback to all candidates, regardless of the hiring decision.

  • Champion diversity and inclusion throughout every step of the recruitment process.

  • Strengthen the employer brand by building relationships with colleges and universities.

  • Accurately post and manage job requisitions.

  • Keep communication flowing as the main point of contact for updates throughout the hiring process.

  • Support interview scheduling when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all hiring policies and documentation.

  • Assist with other recruiting tasks as needed.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS  
  
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • At least two (2) years in HR and/or recruiting; full life cycle recruiting experience; aviation industry a plus.

  • Extensive knowledge of social networking platforms, online communications, and other sourcing channels.

  • Proven ability to build a talent pipeline and bench.

  • Knowledge of, or the ability to become proficient in, the Federal DOT Drug & Alcohol program.

  • Experience in ADP WorkforceNow.

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality in all areas. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate succinctly and effectively across all levels of the organization. 

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated; able to work and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.

  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as required for various recruiting and presentation functions. 

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • Prefer at least two (2) years in a Human Resources generalist position and/or full-cycle recruiting.

  • Prior experience in the aviation or technology industry a plus. 

  • Knowledge of LInkedIn recruiter and ADP 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Computer, phone skills. 

  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively. 

  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays. 

  • Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by airline regulations and company policies.

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.

 

Physical requirements: 

  • Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a normal office environment. 

  • Must be able to communicate through verbal, written, and electronic means. 

  • Must be able to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying height. 

  • Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
