We are seeking a seasoned
Support Lead with 10–15 years of overall experience in
ETL processes, Azure Databricks, and Python, including at least 5+ years in a
lead role. The candidate will oversee production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth data operations while guiding and mentoring the support
team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ETL/Data Engineering support team and manage day-to-day operations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL workflows and Databricks jobs.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Drive incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with ITIL standards.
- Ensure SLA compliance and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Automate monitoring and alerting for ETL jobs and Databricks pipelines.
- Document support procedures, knowledge base articles, and best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- 10–15 years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering support.
- Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams and support operations.
- Strong expertise in Azure Databricks (clusters, jobs, notebooks, performance tuning).
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP exposure is a plus).
- Experience with incident management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
