Job Purpose/ Summary
The role involves overseeing and executing mechanical maintenance activities within the Ductile Iron Pipe Plant. The primary focus is ensuring the mechanical integrity, reliability, and efficient functioning of all project-related mechanical systems and equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing mechanical maintenance and erection activities in alignment with project timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Job Description
The Mechanical Maintenance professional will be responsible for supervising, executing, and monitoring all mechanical-related maintenance and erection work during project execution in the Ductile Iron Pipe Plant. The role demands technical expertise in handling piping systems, material handling equipment, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, and other plant machinery. The person will work closely with teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution, adherence to specifications, and timely completion of mechanical works.
The incumbent will also contribute to equipment installation, alignment, commissioning, and initial maintenance of new assets, ensuring compliance with design standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Principal Accountabilities
Supervise and coordinate all mechanical maintenance and erection activities for projectrelated works within the Ductile Iron Pipe Plantbr Plan schedule and execute mechanical installations including pipelines valves pumps conveyors gearboxes hydraulic and pneumatic systems etcbr Review engineering drawings layouts and specifications to ensure accurate and quality installation of mechanical equipmentbr Monitor contractors work during mechanical erection ensuring adherence to safety quality and project schedulesbr Conduct inspections testing and commissioning of newly installed mechanical equipment and systemsbr Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during project execution and provide technical solutions to resolve them promptlybr Ensure proper alignment calibration and functioning of rotating and static equipment postinstallationbr Maintain strict adherence to plant safety standards and statutory compliance during all projectrelated maintenance workbr Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Electrical Civil and Production departments for smooth project executionbr Maintain project documentation reports and records related to mechanical maintenance and installation workbr Assist in preparing mechanical maintenance budgets resource planning and material requirement forecasting for project activitiesbr Provide technical support for vendor evaluation equipment selection and material procurement processesbr Drive continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical reliability and operational efficiency during project execution
