Job Description
The Senior Engineer – Coke Oven Mechanical Maintenance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of coke oven mechanical systems. This position is tasked with implementing effective preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and reliability. The engineer will focus on enhancing maintenance practices to support continuous production within the coke oven battery. A key aspect of the role is to ensure strict adherence to safety compliance and regulations, fostering a culture of safety excellence. The engineer will also be responsible for coordinating with various teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve production efficiency. Additionally, the role involves supervising technicians and contractors, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The engineer will maintain comprehensive maintenance records and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Actively contributing to equipment reliability improvement initiatives, the engineer will focus on cost reduction and process optimization.
Principal Accountabilities
Plan and execute preventive breakdown and shutdown maintenance of coke oven mechanical equipment to ensure safe reliable and continuous plant operationsbr Monitor and maintain coke oven machines and auxiliaries ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtimebr Coordinate with operations and other maintenance teams to effectively minimize equipment downtime and enhance production efficiencybr Supervise technicians and contractors providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety and statutory requirementsbr Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and reports facilitating datadriven decisionmaking and continuous improvementbr Actively contribute to equipment reliability improvement initiatives focusing on cost reduction and process optimizationbr Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and standards fostering a culture of safety excellence within the team
