Support – Chemical (Acid & Gas Plant)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Chemical/Process professional with strong exposure to Ammonia Plant Technical Services and process engineering activities. The candidate should have experience in plant performance monitoring, process optimization, equipment evaluation and technical studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate Ammonia Plant performance and operating parameters.
- Conduct efficiency, energy and material balance calculations.
- Perform process calculations and hydraulic studies.
- Develop/review Basic Engineering Packages (BEP) and engineering documents.
- Evaluate catalyst performance and support catalyst-related activities.
- Monitor critical equipment health and performance.
- Identify and implement plant/process improvement and debottlenecking initiatives.
- Conduct process troubleshooting, incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Review PFDs, P&IDs and process engineering documents.
- Participate in HAZOP, MOC and process safety activities.
- Support technical studies, plant modifications and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor instrument/process parameters and identify abnormalities affecting plant performance.
Candidate Profile
- Strong Ammonia Plant background, preferably from a large-scale fertilizer plant.
- Experience in Technical Services / Process Engineering in an Ammonia Plant is preferred.
- Initial experience in plant operations/shift operations is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Plant Performance Monitoring, HMB, BEP, Hydraulics, Catalyst Evaluation, Equipment Performance and Process Improvement.
- Candidates from fertilizer/ammonia plants such as Chambal Fertilisers, GNFC, RCF, IFFCO, KRIBHCO, NFL, Matix Fertilisers, HURL, Deepak Fertilisers and FACT are preferred.
