Senior Engineer – SMS Process is responsible for managing production data, generating MIS reports, and providing analytical insights to support decision-making in the Steel Melting Shop. The role focuses on monitoring key operational parameters, preparing daily and monthly reports, analyzing production performance, and supporting process optimization in steel manufacturing for pipe production.

The role focuses on monitoring key operational parameters, preparing daily and monthly reports, analyzing production performance, and supporting process optimization in steel manufacturing for pipe production.
Principal Accountabilities
Prepare and maintain comprehensive daily weekly and monthly MIS reports for SMS operations ensuring accuracy and timely submissionbr Compile and analyze production data including heatwise production furnace productivity yield power consumption and downtime to generate insightful reports for management review meetings and corporate reportingbr Analyze key performance indicators KPIs such as furnace efficiency taptotap time refractory consumption and production output to identify process deviations trends and improvement opportunitiesbr Coordinate with shift engineers production teams maintenance and quality departments to collect and integrate operational data maintaining centralized records of heat logs production reports and process parametersbr Track daily production targets versus actual performance highlighting variances and preparing dashboards and reports for management review meetings and performance reviewsbr Monitor consumption metrics including power electrodes alloys refractory and raw materials to ensure efficient resource utilizationbr Assist in process improvement initiatives by providing detailed data analysis and developing automated reporting formats dashboards and digital data systems for SMS reportingbr Maintain proper documentation of SMS operational records and historical data ensuring compliance with internal reporting standards and audit requirements and supporting quality certifications and regulatory audits through accurate data records
