Job Position Summary
- Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, the Planning Manager is the leader of Planning. He/She is accountable for the performance of the Supply Planning operations: service level to customers, team-mate engagement and working capital.
- The Supply Planning operations cover the replenishment of the distribution centers (DC’s) as well as the availability on direct deliveries from manufacturing to customers. This responsibility includes supply forecasting, inventory management, operational relationships with suppliers and product master data.
- The Supply Planning Manager also takes care with the information about availability to customers, Customer Service, to Sales, and to Marketing for the short-term (3 months) and for the middle term (6-12 months) horizons.
- The Supply Planning Manager oversees the relationship with and tracking the performance of suppliers, both internal and external.
- He/She takes care of enhancing the process, tool and teammates based on best practices and business objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Master data management
- Maintain material master data managed in ERP and Planning tool
- Contribute to the Product Life Cycle in collaboration with other departments.
Replenishment management
- Have DC’s replenished based on the forecasted demand and the planning parameters.
- Manage the relationship with internal and external suppliers.
Availability management
- Anticipate possible disruption in availability within the purchase order lead-time as well as within the middle-term period (3 to 9 months). This anticipation covers DC’s as well as direct deliveries from suppliers to customers.
Performance management
- Monitor the performance of the Supply Planning operations including the service level, the line fill rate, the inventory level, the level of Slow-moving / Obsolete / Excess stock as well as the process and the supplier performances (e.g. level of Supplier Back Orders).
- Identify the deviation of performances and trigger their improvement. The deviation is relative to targets on metrics as well as expected efficiency.
Improvements and projects management
- For underperforming process or metric, identify the root-cause and propose corrective action autonomously and promptly.
Team management
- Supervise the teammates
- Coach each teammate to develop their expertise, autonomy, and performance.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Logistics or Supply Chain, or equivalent experience in similar function.
- You have at least 10 years experience in supply chain planning.
- Experience in supervisor or manager role is a plus.
- Lean or 6Sigma green belt certification is a plus.
- APICS certification is a plus.
