Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, execution-focused and data-driven Supply Chain Planning Leader to lead end-to-end supply planning, supplier performance, and cost governance for Modular Data Center projects in India.
This role is critical to ensuring zero material shortages, high supplier reliability, and flawless project execution, especially in supporting HPF ramp-up and capacity expansion. The position acts as the key interface between Prefab LoB and OG/IG suppliers, while also driving digital visibility, supplier development, and quotation accuracy.
The ideal candidate combines strong planning expertise, supplier management capability, digital mindset, and commercial acumen to deliver a resilient, zero-defect supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supply chain planning and strategy for Modular Data Center projects executed from India.
- Act as the primary point of contact between Prefab LoB and OG/IG suppliers.
- Provide accurate demand forecasts using Kinaxis or similar and ensure alignment with distribution centres and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with Tendering and Purchasing teams to regularly review forecasts and project needs.
- Coordinate with IG/OG suppliers including LV panel builders, cooling systems, Fire Suppression System (FSS) vendors, etc.
- Analyze supplier capacity, capabilities, and performance; lead supplier development initiatives as needed.
- Manage procurement activities through Oracle, ensuring timely acquisition and tracking of IG equipment.
- Support Tendering teams with lead times and planning strategies for critical components.
- Assist Execution teams with planning, strategy, and equipment follow-up.
- Conduct weekly coordination meetings with Execution, Tendering, and Factory teams.
- Serve as the first escalation point for material and equipment issues.
- Support order management processes, including handling POs from multiple countries.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in IG & OG environments.
- Team leading experience
- Proven experience managing suppliers for large-scale projects (USD 5M–30M+).
- Strong strategic thinking, costing, and planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ERP systems (Oracle or SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented with strong stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in modular or containerized infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s internal systems and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a global matrix organization.
