About California Design Den
California Design Den (CDD) is a US-based premium home & lifestyle brand — sheet sets, organic and Egyptian cotton lines, bath towels, and more — sold across Amazon (US & UK), Walmart, Macy's, Target, and our own DTC site. One of the fastest-growing home textile brands in the US, we reach millions of customers, and our growth is powered by sharp merchandising, disciplined planning, and data-led decisioning. We move fast, we care about craft, and we give our people real ownership.
About the role
You will run the day-to-day replenishment and purchase-order planning that keeps inventory ahead of sales — dual-source purchase planning across our own factory and our China suppliers, in-transit netting, and shortage allocation across channels.
What you'll do
- Run weekly replenishment across Amazon, Walmart and our own store, converting demand and cover positions into purchase and production orders.
- Plan purchase orders across our India factory and China suppliers, balancing lead times, minimum order quantities and capacity.
- Apply container and order-quantity logic so orders ship in cost-efficient volumes.
- Track the China purchase-order pipeline — order status, production, dispatch — and net in-transit stock against demand.
- Allocate constrained stock across channels and products by revenue priority, and protect availability on the products that carry the revenue.
- Review weeks of cover and net order days, and flag stockout risk early rather than reporting it late.
- Provide planning inputs for launches, promotions and seasonal peaks, and follow through with the factory and suppliers on production and dispatch.
What we're looking for
- 3–6 years of hands-on inventory or replenishment planning, with a product portfolio of your own. This is not a trainee or reporting seat — you will have raised and chased real purchase orders yourself.
- Fluency in cover, weeks of inventory, sell-through, safety stock, lead times, minimum order quantities and container logic.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers or factories; China experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong Excel or Sheets, and comfort working in Power BI and reporting tools.
- Organised and persistent on follow-up — the failure mode in this role is a missed date, not a wrong number.
- Based in the Mumbai region or willing to relocate to Thane.
Why join us
- A role with a live portfolio from month one and visible impact on availability and sales.
- Direct access to decision-makers and to the factory and supplier relationships.
- A business investing in ERP and planning systems, so the process you run will keep getting better.
