Role Overview
- The Manager – Supply Chain Operations will act as a horizontal supply chain integrator, owning end-to-end warehousing and logistics execution across the network. The role is responsible for driving OTIF performance, enforcing SCM norms, strengthening SOP and ERP/WMS discipline, and enabling cross-functional alignment across Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, and NPD teams. Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Warehousing & Logistics Ownership
- Own and govern end-to-end warehousing and logistics operations covering FG, RM, PM, inter-plant movements, and both primary & secondary logistics.
- Manage freight operations, transporter performance, and logistics execution governance.
- Drive cost, service, and execution discipline without direct P&L ownership.
Supply Chain Planning & OTIF Excellence
- Define and enforce supply chain norms to ensure high OTIF delivery across all channels.
- Monitor exceptions, lead root cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure seamless coordination between demand planning, production planning, and dispatch.
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and demand forecasts
Inventory Control & Process Excellence
- Ensure inventory accuracy, FIFO adherence, ageing control, and management of slow/non-moving inventory.
- Strengthen ERP/WMS discipline with robust KPI ownership and reporting cadence.
- Lead SOP governance across warehousing and logistics operations.
Cross-Functional & NPD/NPL Support
- Act as the SCM SPOC for New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Launch (NPL) initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure execution readiness.
- Support JV initiatives limited to SCM execution and process rollouts.
Team Leadership & Governance
- Build and manage high-performing teams across multi-location operations.
- Define KRAs, enforce execution rigor, and build a culture of accountability and discipline.
- Drive continuous improvement using TOC principles where applicable.
Logistics Operations & Compliance
- Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis and process optimization tools
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and company policies
Qualifications and Skills
- End-to-end warehousing & logistics management (FG, RM, PM, inter-plant; primary & secondary).
- Norm-based supply chain planning with strong OTIF delivery orientation.
- Inventory control excellence (accuracy, FIFO, ageing, slow movers).
- SOP-driven operations with strong ERP/WMS discipline.
- Cross-functional execution with Sales, Planning, Production, Quality & NPD teams.
- Proven team leadership across multi-location operations.
- Strong execution rigor, governance mind set, and process orientation.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability
- Vendor management and cost optimization expertise
- High attention to detail with the ability to work under tight timelines
- Strong exposure to warehousing, logistics, and execution-heavy SCM environments.
- Prior experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, or Distribution-led organizations preferred.
- Hands on experience in TOC.

- Qualification - Post Graduate qualification (MBA / PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management)
- TOC certification or TOC-based working experience preferred
- Experienece - 14 -20 YEARS OF relevant Experience in Supply Chain. Minimum 8-10 years in a Leadership/Senior Managerial Role.
