# Job Summary
The SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER will oversee the entire procurement function, from vendor sourcing and negotiations to inventory optimization and process innovation. Reporting to the Director, you will build robust systems, lead a team of procurement professionals, and ensure seamless supply of high-quality components for our packaging machinery.
# Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end procurement strategy, including vendor management, new vendor development, price negotiations, and contract finalization to achieve cost savings and supply reliability.
· Analyze CAD designs (SolidWorks, SolidEdge) and technical specifications to procure precision engineering components and raw materials aligned with production needs.
· Implement and optimize inventory management systems to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and support just-in-time manufacturing.
· Design and deploy new procurement processes, policies, and ERP-integrated systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar modern platforms) to enhance efficiency and scalability.
· Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering collaboration across engineering, production, and quality departments.
· Conduct market analysis for sourcing trends, risk mitigation, and sustainable supplier partnerships in the packaging equipment industry.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digital tools for procurement analytics and compliance with industry standards.
# Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MBA in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
· 8-10 years of progressive experience leading procurement functions in packaging equipment, filling machines, or similar engineering/manufacturing sectors serving dairy, F&B, or FMCG industries.
· Proven hands-on expertise in reading and interpreting CAD designs using SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or equivalent.
· Strong track record in vendor development, price negotiations, inventory control, and ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
· Demonstrated ability to set up procurement systems from scratch and lead teams of 5+ experienced professionals.
· Excellent analytical skills, negotiation prowess, and knowledge of supply chain best practices.
· Willingness to travel for vendor audits and industry events.

· Technical & Engineering Alignment

· Inventory & Process Excellence

- Set up new processes from scratch, including digital dashboards for inventory tracking and demand forecasting accuracy above 90%.
