The Opportunity
An international organization within the specialty materials and solutions sector is looking for a senior supply chain leader to oversee and elevate its India operations.
This role carries broad responsibility for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the company’s supply chain landscape across the country. The successful candidate will lead operational strategy while balancing service excellence, cost optimization, compliance, and long-term business growth.
Operating at the intersection of operations, commercial priorities, and regional transformation initiatives, this position requires a leader who can navigate complexity, drive execution, and build strong operational foundations in a dynamic business environment.
The role will work closely with country leadership, regional operations teams, manufacturing partners, logistics providers, and commercial stakeholders to strengthen operational performance and future readiness.
What You’ll Lead
You will oversee the full operational and supply chain ecosystem across India, including areas such as:
- Procurement & sourcing
- Demand & supply planning
- Manufacturing operations
- Warehouse & distribution management
- Transportation & logistics
- Customer operations
- Quality & compliance
- Safety, health & environmental practices
The role is expected to ensure smooth coordination across functions while creating a more agile, customer-focused, and performance-driven operation.
Key Focus Areas
Operational Leadership
- Provide direction and oversight across day-to-day supply chain and operational activities.
- Ensure reliable execution across manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and customer fulfilment processes.
- Strengthen operational discipline, governance, and service consistency across the network.
- Build resilient operational capabilities to support future business expansion.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize supply chain processes, systems, and operating models.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost structures across the network.
- Support digitalization and process improvement initiatives to enhance visibility and decision-making.
- Evaluate external partnerships, outsourcing models, and network configurations to ensure long-term scalability.
Performance Management
- Drive measurable improvements across:
- Service performance
- Inventory management
- Operational efficiency
- Safety & compliance
- Cost control
- Working capital optimization
- Establish strong KPI management and operational review mechanisms.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead and develop a multi-functional operations and supply chain team across India.
- Create a high-performance environment focused on collaboration, capability building, and succession planning.
- Partner closely with commercial teams to align operational priorities with customer and business needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturing partners, logistics providers, and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Significant leadership experience within supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong exposure to complex distribution and operational networks.
- Background within specialty chemicals, ingredients, industrial manufacturing, or related sectors would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience managing transformation, operational improvement, or scale-up initiatives.
- Experience working within regional or multinational business structures preferred.

Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced business qualifications are a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
