Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Lead – Supply Chain to manage and drive end-to-end supply chain operations for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role will be responsible for Procurement, Planning, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, Logistics, Warehousing, and overall supply continuity to support manufacturing and business objectives.
Industry experience - CDMO or API Manufacturing only.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Supply Chain operations for the manufacturing site including Procurement, Planning, Stores, Warehousing, and Logistics.
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business, customer, and manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Engineering consumables, and other critical supplies.
- Drive demand planning, production planning coordination, inventory optimization, and material scheduling.
- Manage vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with quality, regulatory, EHS, and organizational standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, slow/non-moving inventory, and implement cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, QA, QC, Engineering, and Project teams for seamless operations.
- Drive OTIF (On Time In Full), cost efficiency, and supply reliability metrics.
- Handle import/export coordination, logistics planning, and statutory compliance related to supply chain activities.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team to build operational excellence and high-performance culture.
- Support audits, client interactions, and business reviews related to supply chain operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline.
- 12–18 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/Procurement within Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
- Mandatory experience in CDMO/CRDMO environment.
- Strong exposure to regulated plants and customer-driven manufacturing operations.
- Proven expertise in Procurement, Planning, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, and Logistics.
- Experience in SAP HANA is a must.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
