Who Are We
Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Engineer to support procurement and logistics operations in the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) domain for our EV projects. The candidate will be responsible for supplier management, commercial negotiations, sourcing strategy, logistics optimization, and coordination with EMS partners to ensure a cost-effective and efficient supply chain for automotive-grade electronic components.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with electrical and electronic components, semiconductor sourcing, BOM management, and import/export logistics in a fast-paced manufacturing or automotive environment.
What You’ll Do
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for electrical and electronic components with complete documentation and compliance tracking.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, EMS partners, and logistics vendors.
- Follow up with suppliers for pricing, quotations, lead times, MOQ, delivery schedules, and technical/commercial clarifications.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment terms, and contracts, especially for semiconductors, ICs, and chip-based components.
- Coordinate with EMS partners for price finalization, contract manufacturing discussions, and sourcing strategies.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
Supply Chain & Logistics
- Handle logistics operations including shipment planning, customs clearance, import/export documentation, and freight coordination.
- Work on shipment consolidation strategies (especially international sourcing from China and other global suppliers) to reduce logistics cost and lead time.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in sourcing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Monitor supply chain risks related to lead times, shortages, and semiconductor availability.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and program teams for BOM release, ECN/design changes, and sourcing updates.
- Ensure material availability in line with project timelines and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier data, contracts, quotations, lead times, and procurement documentation.
- Track and report key supply chain metrics related to E&E components and supplier performance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all procurement and logistics activities.
- Prepare reports and dashboards using MS Excel/Google Sheets for procurement tracking and analytics.
- Support audit and compliance activities related to sourcing and supply chain operations.
Who Can Apply?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or logistics within the automotive, EV, EMS, or electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical & electronic components, semiconductors, and BOM structures.
- Experience in supplier negotiations and vendor management.
- Knowledge of import/export processes, customs documentation, and international logistics.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and data analysis.
- Strong communication, coordination, and multitasking skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with EMS manufacturers and automotive suppliers.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and procurement workflows.
- Understanding of automotive supply chain practices and component lifecycle management.
- Exposure to semiconductor sourcing and allocation management.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and cost optimization abilities.
