Overview:

The Business Analyst will act as the analytical backbone of the SCM function, working closely with the Head–SCM to drive data-backed decisions across planning, procurement, inventory, and production execution. The role will focus on converting complex operational data into clear, actionable insights for leadership decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare, analyze, and present daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports for leadership.
• Design, develop, and maintain dynamic dashboards using Advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Track key business KPIs related to sales, supply chain, inventory, operations, and finance.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.

Supply Chain & Inventory Analytics

• Analyze inventory movement, stock aging, sell-through, demand-supply gaps, and SKU performance.
• Support SCM and inventory planning teams with data-backed insights.
• Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in supply chain and inventory management.

Business Insights & Decision Support

• Provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions by the management.
• Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and scenario modelling.
• Assist in building forecasting models and business performance reviews.

Dashboard & Automation

• Create new dashboards as business needs evolve.
• Automate reports wherever possible to reduce manual effort.
• Work on data consolidation from multiple systems (ERP, sales, operations).

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Must-Have:

• Strong command over Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas, dashboards).
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modelling, visual storytelling).
• Strong understanding of MIS reporting and business metrics.

 

Added benefits, if have:

• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for data analysis / automation.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
